Merry Pitmas ! All of our pitties ( minus pups ) are free to good homes for the month of December !

Sweets came to Milo after her dad passed away. He knew that she would not fare well in a regular shelter, given that she does not get along well with other dogs, and can be nervous about how she is handled. Because of this, he had the foresight to plan for her future by leaving funds for her continuing care. Sadly, none of his friends or family were able to care for her, and then due to legal issues, her funding was used elsewhere. Milo did not want his beloved friend to have to lose her life, despite his best efforts to ensure her happiness, and agreed to care for her here at the Sanctuary in Willits.

Sweets does love affection and gets along well with the staff, but she would need an adult only home, due to the fact that she does have a comfort level when cuddling/being handled etc. She has never bitten any of the staff, but she can freeze or jump to tell you that she is not happy with what you are doing. She could do very well as a single dog, who could again bond closely with someone that she felt she could fully trust.

Please email applications to foster/adopt Sweets to sanctuary@milofoundation.org
