|Trinity and Greyscale were surrendered by a veterinarian that decided to treat them for their ailments instead of euthanizing these sweethearts. They get along well and we are hoping that they could find a home together.
Surrender notes: Greyscale was brought to my emergency practice in a box for euthanasia due to her severely infected leg. She had fractured bones in her foot and leg and there was a severe infection causing the foot to swell and drip. She had already lost sensation to that part of the foot.
However, when she popped her head out of the box, the first thing she did was nuzzle my hand. I couldn't put her to sleep, so instead I amputated the foot and fostered her.
She is very non-confrontational, very people-friendly, loves any kind of attention-- belly rubs, butt rubs, face rubs. She used to drool when being pet but she's improving there. She loves the lazer pointer, and also loves running at top speed on hardwood floors before bottoming out and skidding on her belly. She immediately made friends with all of my cats, and didn't push the envelope at all-- very good at socializing and even with a standoffish cat will probably quickly be tolerated.
She gets around great on 3 legs; when she walks slowly she looks clumsy, her back plopping up and down, but when she gets going, you'll be amazed how smoothly she can run/climb/play."
