*Foster Notes* 10/21/17 "He responds well to pack leader behavior from people. Got a little guarded of me twice with men in my yard (not on walks), but stopped immediately when I said no and made him lay down. And sometimes growled at my wife but also mostly gave her love. We think he is a great dog- lots of energy, loves to play and go on walks, gave lots of kisses, he is so happy. Think he would do well with alpha owners and some behavioral training- he is a really great dog."
*Foster Notes* 7/1/17 "Jox is a very sweet dog. He knows sit, stop, and will give you his paw. He could use work on tugging while walking."
*Return Notes* 5/31/17 "Jox has learned good manners and new commands very quickly, and has attended training classes. He has met the cats and did well. He does get protective of "his people".
Jox was surrendered to the Yolo shelter by his owner who was entering the military and unable to find anyone to care for him. Jox's owner got him from an aunt who insisted that Jox's mother was a miniature poodle and his father was a pit bull mix.
