Merry Pitmas ! All of our pitties ( minus pups ) are free to good homes for the month of December !

EXTRA SPECIAL GIRL ALERT! This loving lady arrived to Milo in late February, but has already won the love and attention of staff and volunteers with her extra-sweet demeanor! Hera is very well mannered- gentle, affectionate, and walks well on leash. She loves to meet people and play. She needs a home where she is the only dog.

One (or two) of the first things you will notice about Hera are her silly, spotted, expressive ears. Hera enjoys playing in the Milo dog park and going for walks, stopping whenever she is allowed to meet new people along the way and spread her love and contagious joy!

**RETURN NOTES** Hera is wonderful when home alone with us. She is very sweet and great in cars. She becomes very distressed when left alone and scratches at the doors and windows. When she see's other dogs, even at a fair distance away she becomes very reactive. We met numerous times with a personal trainer and there is some hope for her to overcome separation issues. She has a history of chasing small things- prey drive- and needs to be kept leashed.

Watch a video of Sweet Hera out on a walk:

Hi, I’m Hera! Watch My Video

She has an overall calm demeanor and seems to be happiest when giving and receiving affection and snuggles- if there’s an empty lap Hera will gently (and hilariously) fill it! She is housebroken. She will resource guard food from humans.

Hera is a truly special lady, with some quirks, but a real family girl and loving companion.
