|Volunteer dog walker feedback: “My 4 year old twins, husband and I took Emma to point Isabel today. She was immediately confident and gentle around my 4 year olds. Lots of tail wagging, it seems that she was around kids in her previous life (or just loves everyone, which is entirely possible). While she didn’t jump on them, she can get excited and jump around, although not anymore than I would expect for a younger shepherd. She wasn’t mouthy with us at all and took treats gently from everyone.
She wagged her tail with every dog she met, and didn’t react when several small dogs chased her barking aggressively. I would definitely recommend her to a home that can give her LOTS of exercise. She plays hard but takes well to correction. She would love hikes, runs, jobs etc etc etc. Oh and she loves belly rubs. She also knows sit and shake! She will not last long!!"
A gorgeous, happy young adult, from the Salinas Shelter where she was a staff and volunteer favorite! Emma knows some commands and is dog and people friendly, a great dog for a family that can provide daily exercise, ongoing training and plenty of adventure, socialization, love and playtime! She plays hard but takes well to correction. Volunteers have reported she's great at off leash dog parks like Point Isabel, her recall is great! The high stimulation at MPR can throw her off a bit so make sure to give her a chance! She's a real gem!
