   Name: ELIZA now GEORGIA
Breed: Terrier - Labrador Retriever Mix
   Adopted: 5/2018
E PUPSGeorgia came from Texas inside an airplane after the hurricane Harvey hit Houston. Our family fell in love with this sweet puppy.

She gets along with our cats, kids, and she enjoys Fairfax open space trails. Georgia specially loves the snow and the beach.

She will be our best friend for years to come. She will see our children leave to college and she will console me when I cry.

Georgia has rescued us,

Thank you Milo for bringing this wonderful being to our lives.

   Name: PHOENIX now LUCY
   Breed: Australian Shepherd
   Adopted: 9/2018
PHOENIX now LUCYHello,

Here’s an update on Lucy. She’s been here 3 weeks now and she’s made tremendous progress.

She’s walking great on a leash with her easy walk harness. She will still hide or cower with loud noises but that’s just time (and big city life).

There are two crates still out in the house for her safe place. She sleeps in her crate at night with the door open. During the day now she has run of the house and she’s been very good. I come home at lunch to see her and Oliver. She actually runs up to greet now! She’ll circle around behind me, but she’s getting there!

She’s learned how to use the doggy door as well. I attached a couple of new pix so you can see her progress! She’s a great little doggy.

Thank you.

   Name: PEPPER now ELLIE
   Breed: Border Collie Mix
   Adopted: 6/2018
PEPPER now ELLIEDear Milo,

We adopted "Pepper" from your Richmond facility in late June.

We’d like to give an update on our adoption. As you can see from the photos, she is enjoying life!

When we entered your facility to meet Pepper, one of your wonderful volunteers seemed to have worked with Pepper and really hoped we could adopt. I did not get the volunteer's name, but would love her to know that Pepper (now Ellie) is doing very well in her new home.

   Name: RANDAL
Breed: Australian Shepherd - Border Collie Mix
   Adopted: 4/2018
RANDALHi to all the wonderful people at the Milo Foundation,

All is well and Randal is settling in well. We are working on his issues and fears.

We have found he is leery of most men so we take time introducing him on his terms. He shows signs of abuse which tells me why he has been placed in different homes over his short life.

Sudden and loud noises are disturbing to him. He would gobble his meals as if the last meal he would receive and now eats at a comfortable pace. He stays close to me at all times. We take baby steps with him, not to much at one time.

He is very loving, knows when its time to go to bed and snores a bit. He loves to run around the property when encouraged but is happiest in the house having his belly and under his chin rubbed. He loves the water so bathing is no problem, just turn on the hose and he will be wet in no time, apply/rub in shampoo and ready for rinse and play.

I cannot tell you how lucky for Jim and I and especially Randal that we found each other. We love that we can make a positive life for him. As mentioned, baby steps, baby steps. He has already made positive changes in the short time with us.

Thank you all again
