Featured Critter: ANGEL

Breed: Chihuahua Mix  -  Gender: Female
Age: 13 yrs. 4 mo., Milo ID: 28336
Current Location: Foster

ANGEL CHI Angel was surrendered to us after her people lost their home in the Camp Fire. Unfortunately, she's a bit shell-shocked from all she's experienced and is still trying to adjust to her new world.

Angel is the perfect little lap companion once she gets comfortable. She's nervous when meeting new people and can sometimes be snappy if someone tries to pick her up before she's ready, but it's a short-lived habit that quickly fades to reveal the little love bug hiding underneath. Once Angel bonds with you, she's yours forever. She'll spend her days dozing on your lap and her nights burrowing under the covers to keep you extra warm.

Angel is house-trained and good on leash/in the car. She is cat- and dog-friendly and also good with kids. She loves walks, trips to the park, and will even play fetch!

If you think you're the right family for Angel, come meet her today!

Featured Critter: MILES

Breed: Labrador Retriever - German Shorthaired Pointer Mix  -  Gender: Male
Age: 6 yrs. 1 mo. (est), Milo ID: 28581
Current Location: MPR

MILES Miles has a sponsored adoption fee! This boy is a real love, and so deserving of a special home!

Miles is a beautiful dog, a Lab and German shorthair pointer mix (we did a DNA test to discover the German shorthair pointer). He is a sweetheart who loves tennis balls and playing fetch (he loves this more than anything), long walks, trips to the park, road trips, swimming, and resting with his people. He is a great dog. It never mattered to us that he is deaf; it only made him more special. He reads facial expressions and body language beautifully, and we learned to stomp on the floor if we wanted him to come to us (he picks up the vibrations).

Miles also learned three hand signals with us. We love him dearly, but our circumstances will not allow us to keep him. He's a sweet dog. Please take good care of him. He is very loved, and will bring much happiness, laughter (he's a character), and bonding. No children household

Featured Critter: BANKS

Breed: Shepherd Mix  -  Gender: Male
Age: 1 yr. 4 mo. (est), Milo ID: 27915
Current Location: MPR

BANKS Banks is ready to go home! This bubbly blond shepherd is super intelligent, friendly, and energetic. A natural athlete, his youthful energy and eager-to-please personality would make him a great fit in an active household. With consistency, patience, and love, he will make a great family pet and/or exercise buddy.

Banks would do best in a home with adults and kids over the age of 14. It is recommended that his future family has some experience with shepherds and their personality traits (namely: their intelligence and energy levels). A large, fenced yard is also required for his exercise needs. He needs stimulation, consistency, leadership, and lots of love!

Featured Critter: SONIC

Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix  -  Gender: Male
Age: 4 yrs. 6 mo. (est), Milo ID: 28354
Current Location: MPR

SONIC Sonic is a dog's dog. Hiking, playing, wagging... he does it all. In fact, his tail had to be docked after he broke it from wagging it too much! But this minor setback has not affected Sonic's friendly personality or energetic nature.

Sonic would do best in an athletic household without small children (under 14) or other small pets (no cats for him!). It is recommended that his future family has dog experience and can devote time and energy into working on his manners. A large, fenced yard is also required for his exercise needs. With some training, socialization, and lots of love, Sonic he will make a great running buddy and family pet. Come meet this happy boy today!

Featured Critter: COWBOY LOU

Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog - American Staffordshire Terrier Mix  -  Gender: Male
Age: 5 yrs. 3 mo. (est), Milo ID: 28356
Current Location: MPR

COWBOY LOU Cowboy Lou was rescued from a Chico shelter to make room for all the incoming fire victims. He's a big goofball and his high energy makes him the life of the party. However, Cowboy Lou does have a high prey drive and is not cat- or dog-friendly, so these factors will be considered when considering his adopters.

Cowboy Lou would do best in an active household with kids over the age of 14. He needs people that can devote time and energy to training and exercise. He is a jumper, so a large enclosed yard is a must. If you think you're the right family for this party animal, come meet Cowboy Lou today!
