A recent evacuee from our Milo Sanctuary due to the Mendocino county fires, Chiloe has blossomed at our Point Richmond location!
A Wisdom Panel DNA test ordered by his previous owners showed Chiloe to be a mix of the following breeds: American Staffordshire Terrier, Rottweiler, Border Collie, German Shepherd, and Siberian Husky.
Chiloe is an active boy who loves going on walks, runs, or playing fetch at the beach as he loves the water. Once he gets his wiggles out, he’s a snuggly baby boy who just wants to be close to his person and shower them with love. He’s been great with the dogs we have introduced him to and very excited and eager to play- great with other active dogs, although he seems to prefer females (many dogs often prefer playmates of the opposite gender).
After Chiloe realizes you’re not just another fleeting face, he bonds very closely! His only wish is to be with his people, showing you love and attentively looking back at you often to see how you’re doing and how he can please you.
Chiloe walks great on leash and is very responsive to commands from his people. We think Chiloe could be a dog that could hike with you off-leash in the appropriate settings as he has no desire to deviate far from his person and responds attentively to his name and commands. He’s very intelligent in addition to being attentive, so very trainable. He is potty/crate trained and knows sit, down, and to come when you call him.
Chiloe was surrendered by a family with no small children, so we’re uncertain of how he would interact with them. Given his energy level and young age, we think he may be better suited to a family with older (age 5+) or no children in the home.
Chiloe is a truly special boy and we couldn't be happier he’s with us in PR as he so deserves to find his loving, forever home. He will bring so much joy into your life!
Please stop by Milo Point Richmond and meet this beautiful, loving boy! Request Holly to assist you for additional, personalized staff insight with Chiloe!
