   Name: BETTY
BETTY & STELLA

   Breed: Maine Coon Mix
   Color:  Dilute Tortie
   Gender: Female
Age: 3 yrs. 1 mo.  Birthday: 9/2015 (est)
   Milo ID: 27978
   Current Location: Foster Care
*Foster Notes* "I’ve had Betty and Stella for two weeks now and can report that Betty is an extremely gentle and loving girl who enjoys lengthy tummy rubs and attention from her person. She (and her sister Stella) seem very people-oriented and love laps to loll in, long chin scratches, and being talked to. Betty is a big and magnificent girl with the most luxurious fur; she purrs quietly when petted and comes to seek that out.

She strikes me as an ideal companion for someone who likes the quiet, warm and steady company of a mature and well-adjusted cat. I see in her a loyal and extremely soothing friend for someone who can provide her with the same. She is helpful and accommodating when it comes to brushing, taking meds (for a cold she had) and is otherwise very well behaved and engaged one on one. As should be evident, she likes her food, and can be quite clear in stating her desires in this arena. A big plus, in my opinion: Betty is unlikely to get on your counters without a step stool. She is one of the sweetest cats I have ever known, and really -- an absolute dear!

As noted above, Betty and Stella are sisters and need to stay together. The changes in their lives have taken a toll and they are clearly wondering what comes next. Understandably. They like one another’s company and take a great deal of comfort in each other’s presence but each of them is independent and enjoys connecting with people very much."

These two sister's were just rescued from Modesto after their owner was no longer able to care for them. They have lived with a large dog with no issues and are good with kids. They are a bonded pair and would need to find a home together. These gorgeous, fluffy girls are fixed and ready to find their forever home!

*Foster Notes* "I’ve had Stella and Betty for two weeks now and have seen that Stella is an engaged and curious cat. She loves to explore and investigate almost as much as she likes to lie on my chest, purring and receiving the adoration she knows she deserves. She is most interested in human connection, and like her sister, happily spends lots of time in laps and snuggling. Also like Betty, Stella is absolutely gorgeous and fluffy, and is endowed with both the softest fur I’ve ever petted and the most spectacular tail anywhere—it is mesmerizing.

She is personable, interested in life and her surroundings and very loving. She purrs quietly and settles into a lap with great relish, also enjoys tummy rubs and responds quickly to verbal engagement. Both of these cats listen carefully to people and seem to expect that good things come from doing so. Stella is the more typically cat-like of the two—more adventurous, lithe and playful. She is a beautiful cat who is also a lot of fun.

Both girls strike me as indoor cats, lovers of the good life. They clearly know how to behave and how to relate to the people in their lives so will easily fit themselves into a safe and comfortable home, just as they will make their way into your heart.

   Name: SEQUOIA
SEQUOIA

   Breed: Mexican Hairless
   Gender: Female
Age: 2 yrs. 9 mo.  Birthday: 1/2016 (est)
Weight: Small (less than 30 pounds)
   Milo ID: 27962
   Current Location: Foster Care
Sequoia is a true delight, a lovable alien creature - a cuddly, lap dog, sweetheart, dog friendly, a tad possessive of her person/lap at times, but she is a doll and used to living with other dogs - and people! She was from a breeder in the Fresno area who decided to stop breeding. (yay!)

Home alone is not something she will go for, sleeping in anything but the human bed is not acceptable! These dogs have warm bodies, like little hot water bottles! The Mayans in ancient times kept these dogs ad companions - and a food source, to the present, these incredibly sensitive, smart dogs are adored by folks with arthritis, aching joints... and folks that can see past or just love their strange and wonderful looks!

Sequoia has "Billy Idol Hair" it stays as stubble - does not grow. Mexican Hairless need to wear sweaters and such in the winter, and like humans after the winter months need to build up a tan before spending a whole lot of time in strong sun - or they will sunburn.

This sweetheart has been fostered along with her daughter, Bonsai who is being adopted. She would love another smallish dog companion!

$500 adoption fee.

   Name: SIMBA
SIMBA

   Breed: Domestic Short Hair
   Color:  Orange and white
   Gender: Male
Age: 4 yrs. 6 mo.  Birthday: 3/2014 (est)
   Milo ID: 27943
   Current Location: Foster Care
9/17/18 FOSTER NOTES: "Simba LOVES people!

He craves your attention and would do best in a home that is quiet and calm. He is not a loner but will seek a quiet and small area (like under a bed or cat tower) to feel safe around multiple new people. He loves to sleep with you in a bed and playing with strings. He’s a perfect pet.”

********** Simba and his 6 siblings were sadly found in a dumpster and whisked to Milo to be cared for back in 2014. He came back to us this August.

From the previous owner: "Simba has been with us for four years. Milo estimated his age at 6 months when we adopted him. He is a loner, but gets along with other cats and tolerates dogs. When the house is quiet he loves to sit in my lap when I am reading or watching TV. He begs for petting and puts his nose to my nose to say “thanks”….SO cute and loving. Do count on giving him some adjustment time in his new home.

When the 3 young children are at home, he rarely comes out from under the bed…he does not like to be roughhoused, so might scratch and then just hides. We have moved into a smaller house and have two dogs, so allowing Simba a place for quiet time is now impossible. We hate to give him up, but really believe that he will be happier in a less rowdy environment. He will do best in a home without children or mellow children over the age of 14.

He is “crate trained”, and spends every night in his crate. I do not crate him when I leave during the day, but I do close doors to rooms I don’t want him in. He has no problems staying alone. We live on the coast, so it is usually cold at our house. Some sunny days we have let him outside and he loves to roam, but then comes home for dinner.

He has no other "issues"…he ALWAYS uses the litter box (never messes in the house) and is in excellent health! He loves to eat, so will come to you meowing for his meal…so cute! I will miss him!"

Sage is a smart, sweet and cuddly young dog with a love of food, comfort and human companionship. She would make a loyal friend to a kind and nurturing person. Sage loves people and would like all the love and attention devoted to her and will in kind devote her love to you. 10/1/18 *Foster Notes* "Pinto has been a very sweet and loving mom to her eight kittens. Her quiet and sweet meow when she calls her babies is so endearing.

She loves people and enjoys hanging around on the sofa while you read and she binge watches “Videos for Cats”. Pinto may have been a mom but there is still plenty of “play, adventure and adaptability” in this kitty. She adapted very easily to our home with all the children and hub bub."

Pinto is ready and waiting for her forever home at Milo Point Richmond! ******

Pinto arrived SUPER pregnant and just had her babies on 8/5/18! She is a very sweet cat, uniquely colored with her brown and white Pinto pony markings!
