Breed: Border Collie - American Staffordshire Terrier Mix

Age: 7 yrs.  Birthday: 8/2011 (est)

This is Tenaya, she is probably 7 or 8. She is probably a border collie pit mix. She's kid friendly and loves people.

She is smart, intuitive, easily trained, playful, energetic and sweet. She is respectful and learns well. She doesn’t touch anything that doesn’t belong to her.

She loves to hike, and loves the dog park.

Her only downsides are that she does need quite a bit of exercise and dog social time, (though she settles beautifully after a good walk). She definitely prefers other dogs, but can be a bit socially awkward for many dogs, especially those who need their space.

Other than that, she is the best, most perfect dog in the world.

Sage is a smart, sweet and cuddly young dog with a love of food, comfort and human companionship. She would make a loyal friend to a kind and nurturing person. Sage loves people and would like all the love and attention devoted to her and will in kind devote her love to you. She would thrive in a single dog home with a couple, individual or family with older children. Sage enjoys short and long walks, BBQs, car rides, swimming in the lake, stuffed toys, playing catch with snowballs, she is learning to play fetch with balls, and loves snuggling up on the couch for a good movie especially if there is popcorn involved. Sage is intelligent and easily trainable and has gone to basic dog training. She is potty trained. Crate trained and will sleep in her bed if its in a crate. Mostly been an indoor dog but is familiar with spending time alone in the yard. If you are interested in meeting Sage please contact Jess at (510) 418-3612

Little Tinkerbell is such a sweet and happy-go-lucky little lovebug. If you pick her up she puts her head on your shoulder to give you a quiet hug. She frequently flips over for belly rubs, closes her eyes and seems to smile because she enjoys it so much. She’s just a gentle happy dog and a pleasure to be with. **Foster Notes:She is a very quiet dog. We did hear her bark once when the doorbell rang, And she stopped immediately when we told her to.She is amazingly smart! For example, we had four potty accidents on the first day we brought her home, but she quickly learned to use our doggie door and that was it. There were no more accidents and she was totally potty trained after the first day! Another example- she learned to sit in about 5 minutes (or maybe she was previously trained?)She enjoys car rides and going for walks, likes to sniff a lot, doesn’t pull, and did not display any leash aggression when walking past other dogs. And she loves greeting strangers. We have two senior dogs and she gets along fairly well with them. We are also fostering a dog with medical issues and though Tinkerbell gets along well with that dog too, her energy level was more than the recovering dog was comfortable with. Since we couldn’t keep them separated we sadly decided it would be best to return little Tinkerbell so the other dog could recuperate quietly. It certainly is not her fault! She’s a young, happy pup and such a little lover and cuddler. We would continue to foster this little girl if circumstances were different.
