"We are looking for a new home for our 6-year old Carolina dog Sam. My wife got Sam from a friend who bred Carolina dogs before we were married.

Sam is a personable, intelligent, and loving dog. He is very pack-oriented and would never run away. He is also excellent in cars, and has never gotten in a fight with other dogs, having been exposed to dog parks in San Francisco throughout his youth.

We have discovered that unfortunately Sam is not very good with small children- which has become a problem with our adventurous 18-month old daughter. He is rather nervous around kids and can be mouthy around them, which we do not consider safe. He has never caused any actual damage, but he is a powerful 65-pound dog. Actually the two got along quite well during most of the last 1.5 years (as the photos demonstrate) but the rare exceptions have forced us to make the sad decision to re-home Sam.

Sam would do best with a young single person, or older person or couple. He is extremely warm and loving and so we anticipate that he will quickly charm a new owner."

"Red was rescued 12 months ago, he is approximately 2 yrs now. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. Red is good with all dogs, and cats that don't run. He is house trained, crate trained and uses the dog door. Rides pretty well in the car but needs work on leash when around other strange dogs. HE would do best in a home where he gets exercised every day, running, going to the Dog park or hiking! It would be a bonus if there is another dog to play with in the home. Red is still young, so he could benefit from obedience training. Best for someone familiar with breed."

Sweet little Poodle, Pug, Dachshund mix. How can that be? Well a family had a pug poodle mix and a male dachshund dug a hole under the fence to get to her. Roughly 64 days later a litter was born. Long story short we have Naomi. Looks more like a terrier mix but we know of the parents. More soon on this sweetie pie!

   Breed: McNab - Shepherd Mix

   Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)
   Milo ID: 24717

Tulip is a nice dog, a bit on the shy side, she just needs some time to adjust and relax and trust! Some time in a caring and calm environment would work wonders, and a mentor dog would also be great! A foster home or an adoptive home.... adopters get a ten day "Foster period" built in with the adoptions of adult dogs, and this can be extended to give a slightly timid girl time to adjust!

Tulip is already becoming more active and energetic she is opening up, and responding, comes when she is called - so all is going great with her!

$350 adoption fee.
