   Breed: Border Collie Mix
   Gender: Female
Age: 8 mos.  Birthday: 9/2017 (est)
   Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)

Pepper is an 8 month old border collie. She was born on a farm, lived for about 5 weeks in foster care and now is at Keith and Gaby’s house. We need to find a new home for her because she needs more exercise and space that we can provide. She also needs a strong owner who can teach her to walk on a leash without pulling so hard. Puppy training would be very helpful. Pepper is very curious and notices everything. She is very active and has a lot of energy - bounds around the house with her squeaky toy, runs out in the yard to look for squirrels, dashes up the stairs to see who is there. Pepper is 41 lbs, black with big ears, white front paws, some white on her chest and a streak of white at the tip of her feathery tail. She has beautiful amber eyes and she gets numerous compliments at the dog park because she is so pretty. She likes to cuddle when she has a toy to chew on. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccines. Pepper might benefit from having another friendly dog to play with in the house because she loves chasing, wrestling and playing with other dogs. She looks absolutely full of joy when she is racing across a field being chased by or chasing another dog. She is very sweet and gives little kisses on your hands. She likes puppy boxing and puppy wrestling. · Pepper needs a lot of exercise running and playing at a dog park or open area. A farm or rural setting with fields could be the ideal environment for her. When she is off leash she runs off and explores but always comes back to check in. · She loves her chew toys and likes to play fetch with the ball. · Pepper does not herd or nip. · She is very loving and extremely friendly with almost every dog at the dog park - she always runs over to greet everyone. She has not shown any aggression toward anyone. · She needs to be trained not to jump on people. She also gets overly excited when people come in the front door and jumps. · A lot of time spent training will be key to a successful relationship with Pepper. She is very smart and VERY food motivated. · On leash she may bark at cats, dogs, and it is easier to handle her if she’s on a harness. · She knows the following commands: Sit, Down, Stay, Give a Paw, Come, Wait. At the dog park when she is distracted she doesn’t follow as well as she does at home. Training with bits of kibble is very effective. Pepper responds very well to praise, positive reinforcement and treats. As with all border collies, finding ways to provide mental stimulation is important. · She likes to be in the same room you are in and will often follow you around. · She sleeps in a crate at night without a problem. She is fine in the car and likes to stick her head out the window. · Her Kong Wubba squeaky toy is her favorite toy at the moment and she likes chewing on tennis balls. She has a sensitive stomach.

DIDO PUPS

Breed: Australian Cattle Dog - Rottweiler Mix
   Gender: Male
   Age: 6 wks.  Birthday: 4/2018
   Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)
   Milo ID: 27433
   Current Location: Foster Care
The DIDO pups will be ready to meet after 5/31.

We will take applications in advance of that date and your interest will be entered into the pups record. Your information will be sent (5/31) to the foster who will contact you for a meet and greet.

There are three females and nine males. They were born on 4/7.

Milo does not recommend the adoption of more than one pup at a time. Best to get one pup, get her/him trained and behaving well - then, when ready (if so) add another dog or pup to the equation. It is difficult to raise and train two pups at a time, and siblings sometimes can have difficulties getting along when they reach maturity.

Think hard about the commitment of raising a puppy, they are demanding! Resources, time, energy, training, a lot of exercise and mental stimulation! Are you REALLY READY!?!? Milo does not offer refunds on puppy adoptions, so think hard about your lifestyle, other commitments and time availability, energy and patience. These are great pups if you have the lifestyle and time for an active companion!
