   Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)

Ziva is a beautiful, blue-eyed husky mix..... a bit shy and aloof until she knows - and loves you - which she will!

   Name: SHADOW
More Photos
Breed: Australian Shepherd - Australian Cattle Dog Mix
   Gender: Male
Age: 8 yrs.  Birthday: 8/2010 (est)
   Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)
   Milo ID: 27312
   Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary
Shadow is an intense dog, a very loyal dog, active and well mannered in many ways, but has some behaviors that make him need a particular kind of home. He is best with a more predictable, calm lifestyle - though active, just not a lot of strangers coming and going. He protects and can be barky on leash, and has some fairly typical protective instincts in the home.

Shadow is too stressed at Milo Point Richmond, he will be heading to our Sanctuary soon.

   Name: BENNY
More Photos
Breed: Rhodesian Ridgeback - Otterhound Mix
   Gender: Male
Age: 1 yr. 9 mo.  Birthday: 11/2016 (est)
   Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)
   Milo ID: 27305
   Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary
6/28/18 Notes: Benny is really sweet and friendly but like many dogs who have spent time in shelters, Benny has separation anxiety. He is fine in his crate when his person is in the house but will try to get out of the crate and follow when you leave.

Benny is great with all ages of people and dogs. He passed his cat test here in Milo but dogs should always be monitored initially in the home.

Benny can sit on command. He's fine eating around other dogs, does not bark, loves to run, likes napping and hanging out and loves playing in the water.

Benny would be best in an active home with someone who works from home or who has the time to help him deal with his separation anxiety.

Lovely boy, an easy going charmer. Dog friendly, co-housed with and plays well with other dogs, big and small....good on leash, on the wide-eyed and meek side, but a happy, willing fellow eager to learn and to be loved! Athletic build, a great hiking and walking companion - likely up for a run as well!

Benny is a bit shy, but gently solicitous and interested in the world around him, and people, and dogs.... he has a pretty red sable coloring, big feet, and strong athletic build. More soon on Lucky Benny!

$450 adoption fee.

   Name: BO BO
More Photos
   Breed: Bullmastiff Mix
   Gender: Male
Age: 1 yr. 7 mo.  Birthday: 1/2017 (est)
   Weight: Extra-Large (over 90 pounds)
   Milo ID: 27120
   Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary
Status: On Hold or Not Available at this time
Bo Bo is a big young happy guy. He likes other dogs and people too. He still exhibits youthful behaviors and so will need the training and socialization from someone willing to put the time into making him a great family member. He likes to play ball, though may not bring it back, and really enjoys playtime with canine companions. We will know more soon about this affectionate boy.

Bo Bo wants to be with people, dogs too, but people first. He shows no real signs of aggression though can be wary of strange men when he is enclosed in a crate or kennel - perhaps - we'll see, as he is coming down from the Sanctuary to Milo Point Richmond. He came to us from Oakland Animal Services, with a lot of praise for him as a sweetheart and he has certainly made an impression on the staff and volunteers at our Sanctuary!

More soon on this handsome hunk of LOVE!

$500 adoption fee.

   Name: KIKIN
More Photos
   Breed: Australian Cattle Dog
   Gender: Male
Age: 2 yrs. 3 mo.  Birthday: 4/2016 (est)
   Weight: Large (60 - 90 pounds)
   This dog has special needs.
   Milo ID: 27087
   Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary
*Owner Surrender Notes* 4/2/18 "Kikin is two years old cattle dog he is friendly with people but he needs training around other dogs. Kikin was born on April 27, 2016. He was one out of eleven. He was born in El Sobrante and his mother name is Chica, we do not have information about his dad.

At home, he lives with his brother they are the same age, but recently they are getting into fights to the point where we have to keep them separated from each other. We never believed that having two siblings it was to be that challenging.

Kikin likes to go for walk and run near the ocean he is not afraid of the water. One very important thing about Kikin is that he is deaf. Even though he is deaf he has some signal commands that he follows very well, such as, sit, and hi.

I think that he can be an indoor dog, but he needs to be trained. We cannot have an indoor dog because some of us have asthma.

Overall Kikin is a great dog that needs a family that can spend more time with him, a family that can help him to be that dog we know that he can be, but due to our schedule cannot help him right now."

   Name: BUDDY RED
More Photos
Breed: Australian Cattle Dog - Queensland Heeler Mix
   Gender: Male
Age: 1 yr. 4 mo.  Birthday: 4/2017 (est)
   Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)
   Milo ID: 27033
   Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary
Active, dog-social, Buddy loves a game of fetch and is quite good at it! A beguiling sweet boy, who is best in an adult, herder savvy home, and not one that is a social epicenter. He is a good boy when things are "as they should be", but he doesn't do well with restraining or collar grabs, he's had a tough time including a broken leg in his past. Buddy is a dog who needs activity and someone in charge - he responds well.... smart and in-tune to his surroundings and quick to catch on to direction and correction - but high energy and needing to run!

Currently at our Sanctuary - he's hoping for a rural home, where he can run with an ATV, chase sticks.... be important to his person, know what is expected of him, be safe, hang with other dogs and be loved!

Buddy is a great ranch dog, running with the four-wheel work vehicles - cooling off in the creek, he has great recall and good stick with you skills. Delightful companion for dog savvy, active people in a rural environment.
