|Leonardo is a classic, handsome fur-ball Great Pyr. Stoic, watchful, mellow and actually playful! He and his son were reunited and hanging out at the Milo Sanctuary and now Bonaparte is adopted and Leonardo will come down to Terrapin Crossroads on Saturday and has a foster lined up in MArin if not adopted.
Great Pyrs need space to patrol and move around, protective and classically a bit nocturnal and with BIG, LOUD BARKS, thus typically not great choices for urban living, HOWEVER these two boys are absolute gems! They are not overly nocturnal or noisy and clearly have been loved and had indoor/outdoor lives. they know to go to a dog bed and lay down - they love attention and affection!! They are like playful, animated and sweet as can be. Good with other dogs and everyone. Leonardo was not comfortable on the slick concrete floors at Milo Point Richmond - he was so happy to get to the Sanctuary, tail up and wagging and then reunited with his boy Bonaparte! They do not need a home together but they would want people and animals around. They will chew through wooden gates to leave and be out...be with people, animals wandering.... will need a well fenced large yard, daily activity, stimulation, animals to watch over perhaps and exercise. Classically the Great Pyr is a stubborn breed, and they are big, so patience and strength are both good traits to have when living with a Pyr - also a really good vacuum!
Leonardo is a fantastic Pyr for breed savvy, outdoorsy folks!
Neutered and ready to go....$600 adoption fee.
