Bindi and Maci are very attached and super sweet, they are going to go to our Sanctuary and find a home most likely in Mendocino, Sonoma or Marin Counties. Can't be placed in Contra Costa and do need a well fenced yard! Sweet dogs, great with people, bad with cats. Maci more bubbly and outgoing, she's the little boss, Bindi is sensitive and trying to find her place. |

Beautiful small Malinois girl, who we rescued from Martinez through the prior owner's request because she couldn't keep them due to cat aggression issues. Bindi and Maci are very attached and super sweet, they are going to go to our Sanctuary and find a home most likely in Mendocino, Sonoma or Marin Counties. Can't be placed in Contra Costa and do need a well fenced yard! Sweet dogs, great with people, NOT good with cats. Maci is more bubbly and outgoing, she's the little boss, Bindi is sensitive and trying to find her place. |

Breed: Bullmastiff Mix Gender: Male Age: 1 yr. 3 mo. Birthday: 1/2017 (est) Weight: Extra-Large (over 90 pounds) Milo ID: 27120 Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary |
Bo Bo is a big young happy guy. He likes other dogs and people too. He still exhibits youthful behaviors and so will need the training and socialization from someone willing to put the time into making him a great family member. He likes to play ball, though may not bring it back, and really enjoys playtime with canine companions. We will know more soon about this affectionate boy.
Bo Bo wants to be with people, dogs too, but people first. He shows no real signs of aggression though can be wary of strange men when he is enclosed in a crate or kennel - perhaps - we'll see, as he is coming down from the Sanctuary to Milo Point Richmond. He came to us from Oakland Animal Services, with a lot of praise for him as a sweetheart and he has certainly made an impression on the staff and volunteers at our Sanctuary!
Moe soon on this handsome hunk of LOVE!

Breed: Australian Cattle Dog - Queensland Heeler Mix Gender: Male Age: 1 yr. Birthday: 4/2017 (est) Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds) Milo ID: 27033 Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary |
Active, dog social, loves a game of fetch and is quite good at it! A beguiling sweet boy, who is best in an adult, herder savvy home, and not one that is a social epicenter. He is a good boy when things are "as they should be", but he doesn't do well with restraining or collar grabs, he's had a tough time including a broken leg in his past. Buddy is a dog who needs activity and someone in charge - he responds well.... Currently at our Sanctuary - he's hoping for a rural home, where he can run with an ATV, chase sticks.... be important to his person, know what is expected of him, be safe, hang with other dogs and loved! |

Breed: Great Pyrenees Gender: Male Age: 2 yrs. 6 mo. Birthday: 10/2015 Weight: Extra-Large (over 90 pounds) Milo ID: 26944 Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary |
Charlie is a very active Great Pyrenees. He is very well socialized and around people all of the time. He is not accustomed to being left alone. Charlie is great with children and other dogs. He has a very playful, affectionate personality and would do best in a home with children and another dog. He is very appropriate with toddlers and babies, so that is not a concern. Charlie is a bit of a celebrity wherever he goes because of his warm and outgoing personality. He loves to play fetch, but is very selective about who he will play fetch with. Charlie loves going to the dog park and doggie daycare and has done well on long walks. To date, he has been allowed on the furniture and on the bed. Closing doors on Charlie doesn't work as he likes to be near his person at all times.
Charlie has had a fair amount of training. He walks well on a lead, but needs to be reminded at times. If you tell him "heel and sit," while walking him, he will re-direct and sit during the walk until you tell him to go. If Charlie is becoming too boisterous, "Cut that out" is the command he responds to for a re-direction. Ultimately, he should sit, and receive a "Good job" and a belly rub for him to change the behavior.
Charlie is very protective of his family and will bark at others if he is in the car with you and someone parks nearby. He should not be placed in a house with cats. |

Bandit is a very sweet and friendly dog. She was surrendered to the shelter for not getting along with the other dog in the home. Owners wrote that they had her since a puppy, she is friendly with children of all ages including babies and will play with kids, granted she may knock the really small ones over. She will bark when people come to the door, she is not destructive in the house, and will chase cats but mostly just wants to play with them.
*Shelter Notes* "Bandit (A057474) is a 10 year old spayed female mixed breed dog weighing 60 lbs. Bandit found herself being driven away from home in an Animal Services truck when her mom felt no longer able to care for her.
Bandit has lived life as an indoor dog until just a couple of months ago, when she was relegated to the backyard due to the owner's husband's health condition. Bandit is house trained and grew up with kids from babies on up in age and was described as "friendly and playful" with kids. The owner said Bandit gets along with dogs and cats, although she chased the cats playfully sometimes. She lived with another large dog, a small dog, and 6 cats.
According to Bandit's mom, "We have a third dog, named Panda, who is a Shih Tzu, and Bandit has no problems with him or any other dog she meets. It's just Raider, her sister that she has a problem with. Bandit has always been an inside dog. She is potty trained, very friendly, good with people of all ages (she has lived with all ages of people) including children, but she gets excited around children and some times knocks them down. Bandit is only scared of loud noises. She doesn't escape the yard, isn't aggressive with anything (except Raider) and will chase cats but doesn't hurt them. I have six cats and they all get along with Bandit."
